Where to get food on campus

Along with the popular C-Stores and the three main dormitory cafeterias, there is also an abundance of cafes and other places to eat on campus. These venues become especially beneficial during the day when you need to grab a quick meal or drink on the go.
Payment is easy because they all accept CyCash and Dining Dollars. No matter what your class schedule is, chances are that one of the following are within close walking distance.
Bookends Café
New to the ISU campus in late 2006, Bookends is conveniently located in Parks Library. It offers a wide variety of specialty drinks and features Roasterie-brand coffee. If you’re hungry, they also have a pastry case filled salads, sandwiches, cookies, bars and pastries, as well as bagels from Bruegger’s Bagels.
Bookends is one of the only campus cafes open on the weekend.
Business Café
This quick stop cafe is located in the Gerdin Business Building. Similar to Bookends, it offers a wide variety of specialty drinks and Roasterie coffee. If you’re hungry, there are plenty pastries, salads and sandwiches to choose from.
Clyde’s Sports Club
Located in the Union Drive Community Center, Clyde’s is the perfect place to dine in and watch the big game.
With many big-screen televisions, Clyde’s has become a popular on-campus restaurant. It offers a wide variety of hot sandwiches, pizza, salads and burgers.
Courtyard Café
Another popular on-campus cafe is the Courtyard Caf‚, located in Lagomarcino Hall. Here, you’ll find Roasterie coffee, specialty drinks and an assortment of deli sandwiches, salads, soups and pastries.
Design Café
Because the College of Design Building is open 24 hours a day, it has become a popular place to study. The cafe within the building is perfect for a study snack.
Along with Roasterie coffee and specialty drinks, it also offers a variety of food. Grab a quick sandwich or pastry on your way to class, or while studying in one of the study areas.
Gentle Doctor Café
Located slightly off-campus, the College of Veterinary Medicine houses this cafe. It offers Roasterie coffee, specialty drinks, various sandwiches, salads and pastries.
Hawthorn Market & Café
In the center of the Frederiksen Court Community Center lies Hawthorn. Complete with a market for small purchases, it also offers various specialty drinks and food.
Order a drink from the only place on campus that offers Starbucks and then relax on one of the couches next to the fireplace.
If you’re hungry, Hawthorn offers everything from a hot breakfast to many grilled favorites, including hamburgers, pizzas and chicken strips.
They also prepare fresh deli sandwiches to your liking.
Memorial Union Food Court
If you’re looking for variety, come to the basement of the Memorial Union.
Inside, they offer Fresh Burrito Works, Greek Odyssey Caf‚, Sunset Strips (chicken), Tomassito’s (Italian) and Hearthstone (homestyle).
There is also a deli case with sandwiches and salads.
Right outside of the main area is Subway and Panda Express.
CyCash and Dining Dollars are accepted everywhere except Panda Express.
Memorial Union Café
Conveniently located in the basement of the Memorial Union and next to the food court, the MU Caf‚ has the perfect drink for you.
They offer a variety of ice cream smoothies and Roasterie coffee drinks.
Be sure to grab a quick snack from the pastry case, which includes a variety of cookies, muffins, bagels and bars.
