The information in this log comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

April 1

  • Heather Smith, 21, 4708 Steinbeck St. apt. #108, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
  • Akshay Shukla, 21, 510 Billy Sunday Road apt. #102, was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
  • A vehicle driven by Andrew Wake backed into a light pole.
  • An officer on patrol observed a parked vehicle that had been vandalized. Three juvenile males were subsequently taken into custody and charged with third degree burglary and possession of burglar tools. They were referred to Juvenile Court Services and then released to the custody of their respective parents.
  • Officers received a report that Abel Bolanos, 19, 2303 Wallace Hall, had not been seen since leaving a party on South Hyland Avenue during the early morning hours of March 31.
  • Mitchell Froehle reported the theft of a laptop computer. The item was later found.
  • A found wallet was placed into secure storage until the owner can be located.
  • Amanda Kopp reported damage to a vehicle.
  • Babatunde Abidoye reported the theft of a bike.

April 2

  • A staff member reported the theft of a golf cart. The vehicle was later found in a nearby creek.
  • A student reported the theft of two bottles of prescription medication. The incident occurred sometime since March 29.
  • A student reported leaving a purse on a CyRide bus. The item was later located in a trash bin near Parks Library.
  • Emily Decker reported the theft of a bike. The incident occurred sometime since March 28.
  • The purse reported missing on March 30 was found and returned to the owner.

April 3

  • Sanyi Zhan reported the theft of a book. The incident occurred sometime during spring 2006.
  • A staff member reported the theft of food items from a vending machine.
  • Two students reported the theft of items from a bag. The incident apparently occurred the evening of March 30.
  • A student reported the theft of a backpack from a second floor bench.
  • Vehicles owned and/or driven by Tammy Barker and Barbara Dempsey were involved in a property damage collision.
  • Matthew Wilcox, 19, 1546 Helser Hall, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
