Police Blotter

The information in the blotter comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
March 14
- Nathan Scott Hall, 19, of Cedar Rapids, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
- A staff member reported the possible theft of eight pieces of conduit.
- Marcus Matteson, 154 University Village, reported the theft of a number of items from his car. The vehicle does not appear to have been damaged.
- A caller advised that a duffle bag had been either lost or stolen.
- Jing Liang, 17 Schilletter Village, reported a broken window on a 1997 Toyota Corolla.
March 15
- A contractor reported that two saws were missing from a construction area. The saws were last seen approximately two weeks ago.
March 17
- Jason Cory Gable, 27, 1006 28th St., was cited for driving under suspension.
- Johnny Hamilton, 21, of Jefferson, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
- Vehicles owned or operated by Brian Edward Grady and Zhaia Wineinger, both of Ames, were involved in a personal injury collision.
- An officer reported finding a person’s property in a parking lot. The property will be secured until the owner can be contacted.
March 18
- Victoria Drinkall, 23, 4130 Lincoln Swing apt. #20, was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
- Officers were dispatched to a loud party.
- Caleb Christensen, 19, 3714 Tripp St. apt. #103, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
- Brandon Peterson, 20, of Boone, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
- Mathew Bridges, 20, 3417 Frederiksen Court, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
- Robert Wegmann, 27, of Johnston, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
- A student officer reported that it appeared someone had attempted to gain entry to a change machine.
- Angela Birum, 7262 Willow Hall, reported the theft of a vehicle.
March 19
- Vehicles driven by Michaela Payne and Mary Minner were involved in a property damage collision.
- Vehicles driven by Xiaming Chen and Tim Watson were involved in a property damage collision.
- Jennifer Caes, 1034 Buchanan Hall, reported the theft of paint and brushes from a locker. The incident occurred sometime after March 9.
- Kelsey Bulat, 1314 Larch Hall, reported the theft of a bike.
- Officers assisted a resident who was experiencing emotional and medical difficulties. The individual was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Mark Haymaker.
- Michael Taylor, 21, 7133 Frederiksen Court, was arrested on a warrant, charging him with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
