ISU freshman diver Tien Tran finished out a outstanding freshman season with a ninth-place finish in the platform competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Austin, Texas.

Tran was 14th after prelims but her final score of 356.15 moved her up five spots. Tran was just under 12 points and two spots away from joining her teammate, senior swimmer Lauren Breunig, at the NCAA Championships.

The Big 12 claimed three of the seven qualifying spots.
