Police Blotter

The information in the blotter comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Jan. 26

  • Eric Schroeder, 21, 4733 Toronto St. apt. #30, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
  • Officers responded to dispute at Maple Hall that had occurred among several individuals regarding smoking and the display of identification. The matter will be referred to the Department of Residence and/or the dean of students office for resolution.
  • A resident reported that one or more persons had gained access to an unlocked vehicle; nothing appeared to have been stolen.
  • An individual reported that one or more persons had gained access to a vehicle; a package of auto cleaning pads was removed from the glove compartment.
  • A vehicle driven by Christopher Stanich slid into a ditch.
  • A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Kenneth Hassebroek.
  • Scott Stuntz reported the theft of a bike.
  • A found key was placed into secure storage.
  • Vehicles driven by Patrick Downes and Karla Wenthold were involved in a property damage collision.
  • Officers assisted an individual who had fallen on the sidewalk.
  • An individual reported losing a backpack.
  • Monica Irving, 21, 203 S. Fifth St. apt. #606, was arrested and charged with driving under suspension. She was subsequently released on citation.
  • Two people playing basketball at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center were involved in a dispute that became physical. The matter is being referred to the County Attorney’s Office for review.
  • A resident of Frederiksen Court reported a group of individuals had thrown ice balls at windows before entering Building 71. Officers were unable to locate the people involved.
