Jan. 18

  • Officers assisted a resident who was experiencing a medical problem at Frederiksen Court.
  • A staff member reported finding a door to a storage area in the Fire Service Building that had apparently been forced open; nothing appeared to be missing.
  • A staff member reported two residents had received harassing telephone calls.
  • Radell Young, 18, 4539 Friley Hall, was arrested on a warrant held by the Ames Police Department.
  • Jessica Besonen, 4249 Willow Hall, reported the theft of an iPod.
  • Officers assisted a resident who was experiencing medical and emotional difficulties. The individual was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center.
  • A found laptop computer was placed into secure storage until the owner can be contacted.

Jan. 19

  • Michael Rongved, 23, of Eldridge, was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
  • Brian Worden, 20, 3925 Ross Road, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
  • Keith Hilson, 22, of Des Moines, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
  • A staff member reported ongoing vandalism to several restrooms in the Food Science Building.
  • Anthony Fatiago reported the theft of a bike.
  • Officers assisted a 19-year-old female who had consumed too much alcohol. The individual was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center for treatment and observation.
