The information in the log comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Nov. 14
– A staff member reported damage to a light pole.
– A resident reported the theft of a purse.
– A staff member reported the theft of a calculator.
– An abandoned bicycle was placed into secure storage.
Nov. 15
– Chad Weltha, 32, of Story City, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension, having an open container in the vehicle and failure to have insurance.
– A resident reported the theft of a laptop computer.
– Stephanie Eifler, 8326 Larch Hall, reported damage to a vehicle mirror.
– Kirk Reisetter, 3277 Birch Hall, reported the theft of miscellaneous items from his room.
– Erin Thomas reported the theft of a laptop computer from an unlocked car.
– Officers initiated a computer-related investigation for another agency.
– Laura Janvrin, 7335 Frederiksen Court, reported damage to a vehicle.
– A motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and struck a parked car. The driver was not at the scene upon officer arrival. The motorcycle was towed and the investigation is continuing.
– Officers initiated an investigation regarding ongoing alarm calls.
