The information in the log comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Oct. 17
– A staff member reported the theft of a two-wheel utility cart.
– Vehicles driven by Lu Zhang and Natasha Ott were involved in a personal injury collision. Zhang was cited for failing to yield upon making a left turn.
Oct. 18
– Timothy Larson, 25, 1818 Arthur Circle, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated.
– An unattended backpack bearing a handwritten note referencing explosives and law enforcement was discovered in a classroom. The building was secured until officials could safely determine the contents of the bag. The owner of the backpack was subsequently identified. The case remains under investigation.
– A vehicle driven by Juana Mooring struck a parked car.
– Benjamin Wilson, 19, 5245 Willow Hall, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
– A 17-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on citation.
– A resident reported vandalism to an exterior door.
