Iowa State has a pair of injuries that could impact its game at 6 p.m. Wednesday against West Virginia.

The Cyclones will be without redshirt senior guard Marial Shayok. Shayok, who is averaging a team-high 18.7 points per game this season, injured his left foot during practice Monday afternoon.

Shayok’s status for the regular season finale Saturday against Texas Tech is unknown.

Additionally, Iowa State could be missing a second starter.

Redshirt senior guard Nick Weiler-Babb was injured during Iowa State’s recent loss to Texas. He returned to the game later.

“I don’t know about Nick,” said coach Steve Prohm. “Right now it’s kinda day-to-day, might be a game-time decision actually. We’ll probably play it safe with him if we have to. We’ve got a lot more basketball to play than just Wednesday night.”

Weiler-Babb is the Cyclones’ leader in assists, averaging 4.1 per game. He and junior forward Solomon Young (out for the season) are the only remaining players from the 2016-17 team that last made the NCAA Tournament for Iowa State.

Sophomore guard Lindell Wigginton (12.9 points per game) will likely make his return to the starting lineup Wednesday in Shayok’s absence.
