Parker:
The town of Ponca City, Okla., has been good to Iowa State so far this season.
Ponca City is the home of two freshmen, Josh Johnson and Rashawn Parker, who are posed to make an immediate impact on the Cyclone football team.
Johnson is the team’s No. 2 running back and Parker is seeing significant time on the defensive line.
“Rashawn Parker is going to be in the mix and there is a good chance he’ll be starting,” said ISU coach Dan McCarney. “He’s been working both ones and two all through practice. He’s a marvelous freshman. We’re two-for-two [from Ponca City].”
