Cody Saveraid

Diante Garrett

, a senior guard from Milwaukee’s Vincent High, has verbally committed to play for the Cyclones starting in 2007.

A 6-foot-4, 170-pound point guard, Garrett received interest from Clemson, Wisconsin-Green Bay and former national champion UNLV.

Garrett joins Craig Brackins, a 6-10 senior forward at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., as the second member of the Cyclones 2007-2008 recruiting class.

Garrett, the son of former NBA guard Dick Garrett

, was named first-team All-City in Milwaukee last season despite missing four weeks of the season due to a broken collarbone.

Dick Garrett averaged 10.3 points per game over five NBA seasons in the early 1970s.
