Complete with one-armed drummer Rick Allen, metal legend Def Leppard will come to Hilton Coliseum with Journey on Sept. 7. Tickets went on sale recently at the prices ranging from $41.50 to $77.

Mark Miller, director of contemporary programming for the Iowa State Center, said the show will tentatively have excellent attendance.

“We look at all the shows that go through the market,” he said. “This is a classic rock large show package that we think will draw interest from not only students, but from the Ames community and surrounding area.”

The tour includes collaboration with VH1 Classic and Live Nation and has been tagged as one of the hottest tours this summer.

“Tickets went on sale very early, but we came out of the gates pretty strong – so I think it’s going to be a good show,” Miller said.
