ISU Police Blotter

All the information in the blotter comes from the ISU Police Department. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
March 10
A staff member of Larch Hall reported the theft of a traffic sign. The item was later recovered in a hallway. The investigation is continuing.
Katie Birdsall, 20, 644 Squaw Creek Drive apt. #12, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. She was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
A man was observed in possession of a sign that had been taken from the Morrill Hall construction site. Dominic Wood, 19, 215 Stanton Ave. apt. #504, was subsequently arrested and charged with theft.
Jay Murrell, 44, 4416 Toronto St. apt. #1, was arrested on a warrant, charging him with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
March 11
A resident of Birch Hall reported damage to a bicycle.
Stereo equipment was removed from a parked vehicle.
March 12
Aron Fox, 25, 211 State Ave., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, driving while revoked and driving under suspension. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center. A passenger in the vehicle, Teal Larsen, 23, Polk City, was cited for possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Officers assisted an individual who was experiencing emotional difficulties. The person was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center for treatment.
March 15
A patron reported the theft of a bag and its contents from the Lied Recreation Athletic Center.
March 16
An officer on patrol observed damage to several vehicles and the apparent theft of stereo equipment. The owners were contacted.
A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Dan Berleant.
A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Meagnon Strasburg.
