ISU Police Blotter

All the information in the blotter comes from the Ames Police Department. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
March 5
A resident of Buchanan Hall reported being harassed by an acquaintance. The victim does not want to pursue the issue criminally. The matter will be referred to the Department of Residence.
Kristine Onken,19, 3138 Frederiksen Court, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
David Markman,19, 3122 Frederiksen Court, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
A 17-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with operating while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The individual was released to the custody of a parent after being referred to Juvenile Court Services.
Michael Hanish, 19, and Matthew Larsen, 20, both 325 Ash Ave., were arrested and charged with public intoxication. They were transported to the Story County Justice Center.
A staff member from Veterinary Medicine reported the theft of a PDA from an office.
A student in the Armory reported being harassed by an acquaintance.
A staff member reported damage to a vehicle along with the theft of an amplifier.
A patron from the Lied Recreation Athletic Center reported the theft of a wallet.
March 6
Melanie Cruz, 802 Maple Hall, reported damage to her vehicle.
A student reported the theft of a parking permit and the attempted theft of a CD player.
A resident of Helser Hall reported the theft of a calculator and computer equipment from his room.
Officers initiated a drug-related investigation at the Armory.
