This Friday marks the launch of the 2006 Government of the Student Body elections. It’s important for students to look past the politics and campaign slogans when casting their votes.

Who has the experience and motivation necessary to lead our student government? Who has the dedication it takes to follow through with the promises they made? Who are the ideal candidates? Emily Jensen and Sarah Faber are the answer to all of the above.

As the GSB Director of Public Relations, I have seen both Jensen and Faber’s commitment to improving GSB and Iowa State. Jensen and Faber want to increase student unity through appreciation and pride in our athletics and the development of a multi-cultural center in the Memorial Union. They also intend to increase communication among students, GSB and the university.

With Jensen and Faber in office, the student body can expect action. Jensen and Faber have each held a number of leadership positions in a wide variety of activities. They believe in student voices and student visions.
