Before break there were a few articles in the Daily and a presentation at a Government of the Student Body meeting about a proposed student library fee to help subsidize the Parks Library’s shrinking budget.

At about the same time, a group project was assigned in my English 302 class to conduct a study about something related to Iowa State. We decided to pursue this library fee further and have created a short survey as part of our study to see how students actually use the library and how they feel about the proposed fee. Most of the fee would go toward keeping current library services that would otherwise be cut.

We plan to take our results to GSB so it can make the best decision about implementing this fee and would like as much student feedback as possible. Our survey can be found here.
