LETTER: Run for GSB office if you’re unsatisfied
February 8, 2006
Despite what has been claimed in the editorial pages of the Daily this week, the Government of the Student Body has been working actively to represent students and make a difference on campus. For the next three weeks, members of GSB will be submitting letters to the editor providing information on how they are working to enhance campus and serve students.
In addition to watching the editorial pages, I encourage you to check out the GSB Web site at www.gsb.iastate.edu. On the front page, you can download a copy of the executive updates for January to get an idea of the projects we take on in a given month.
Lastly, I would encourage all those who are interested to run for a position within GSB. You can find information related to branches of GSB and how to run on our Web site. I encourage you to get involved – you can have a far greater impact by actively working to create change rather than by complaining in the editorial pages.
As always, I encourage anyone who has ideas on how GSB can better serve students to contact me or stop by our office in G1 in the West Student Office Space of the Memorial Union.
Thanks, and go Cyclones!
