January 1

Clint Sletten, 32, of 703 Stanton Ave., was cited for having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle at Mortensen Parkway and Gateway Hills Drive.

Hilary Umbaugh, 22, of 200 Stanton Ave. Apt. # 301, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Lynn Avenue and Storm Street. She was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

Erik Bergeland, 23, of Iowa City, and Matthew Heinricks, 22, of Glidden, were arrested and charged with public intoxication. They were transported to the Story County Justice Center.

January 3, 2006

Jill Dreyer, 22, of 1307 Coconino Road Apt. # 102, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Hayward Ave. and Mortensen Parkway. She was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

A staff member at the Insectary reported receiving a harassing letter.

January 4

Elizabeth Coad, 21, of Sioux City, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Hayward Ave. and Mortensen Parkway. She was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

Crystal Bissen, 21, of West Des Moines, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at parking lot S5. She was transported to the Story County Justice Center.

Officers assisted another agency with a computer-related investigation.

Officers initiated a drug-related investigation.
