All the information in the blotter comes from the arrest records of the ISU Police. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
January 9
A vehicle left the scene after striking another vehicle owned by Steven Kravinsky.
Officers initiated a drug-related investigation at the armory.
A staff member reported the theft of a laptop computer in Helser Hall.
A resident of Maple Hall reported the theft of keys from her room.
An 11-year-old male reported that his younger brother went missing while attending a basketball game in Hilton Coliseum. After several hours, the mother was located at a residence. It was then determined the male did not have a younger brother and the entire incident was a false report. The matter will be referred to Juvenile Court Services.
Ryan King, 719 Maple Hall, reported a fire in the rear of a truck. The fire was extinguished.
January 10
Daniel Meyer, 22, 4708 Steinbeck St., apt. # 17, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
Joah Bussert, 22, 515 S. 4th Street, apt. # 27, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
Vehicles driven by Mary Nieves and Tricia Beasley were involved in a property damage collision. Report initiated.
A staff member reported the theft of a laptop computer at Gilman Hall.
A staff member reported receiving a harassing letter in Curtiss Hall.
Krystal Obbink, of 1323 Frederiksen Court, reported the theft of a license plate in Lot 112.
A neighborhood resident reported damage to a fence pole in Towers Intramural Field.
January 11
Ali Abdelsalam was charged with driving under suspension after her vehicle was involved in a property damage collision with Katheryn Wieland’s vehicle.
Jay Murrell, 44, 4416 Toronto St., apt. # 1, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was subsequently released on citation.
