ISU Police Blotter
December 5, 2005
All the information in the blotter comes from the arrest records of the ISU Police Department. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
December 1
A pickup driven by Emily Serra-Simon struck a parked vehicle owned by James Wieland.
A vehicle driven by John Miller struck a fence.
December 2
A resident reported damage to a door at Willow Hall.
December 3
Lucas Olson, 23, 4345 Maricopa Drive No. 14, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
Teya Norfolk, 19, 4912 Mortensen Road No. 311, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. She was transported to the Story County Justice Center.
Andrew Wagner reported that a motorcycle had been tipped on its side.
Curtis Stinson, 22, 7116 Frederiksen Court, was charged with driving under suspension. He was released on citation.
A vehicle that left the scene struck a woman who was walking in the road. Kelly Laughery, 20, 233 Gray Avenue, died as a result of the injuries she sustained. Evidence at the scene indicated that significant damage had been done to the vehicle, especially along the front and right front (passenger side) corner. Police believe the car involved may be a 1991-1993 Buick Century. The investigation is continuing.
A staff member reported damage to several lights at Frederiksen Court. The matter has been referred to the Department of Residence for follow-up action.
