LETTER: Doll has a history of true concern for community

If you have ever looked at some of Ryan Doll’s accolades, you would know he has the experience to represent us in the City Council. As a student, Doll has served on the Government for the Student Body for several years. His work was recognized last year when he was named the GSB Senator of the Year.

In spearheading the “Vote for Two” campaign last year, Ryan was awarded the title of Champion of the First Amendment by the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communication. at Iowa State.

Doll’s accomplishments in the past few years haven’t been limited to Iowa State, however. When tornados struck Ames and the surrounding area a few weeks ago, Doll geared up to help those in need as a part of the Red Cross Disaster Action Team. The following week, Doll took a break from campaigning to help fight a fire in Boone. In addition, Doll works as a part of the Center for Addictions Recovery.

Doll’s involvement in the community over the past seven years shows he cares about making Ames a better place for all of us. Vote Doll on Dec. 6.
