Iowa State and Ames have the opportunity to make history Dec. 6.

If we elect Ryan Doll to the 3rd Ward council seat, he will be the only student member on the City Council. The City Council has six seats, and students currently occupy none of them. I think students deserve some representation, especially since we make up more than half the city’s population. It really isn’t much to ask.

Doll has the experience to act for all the voices of the Ames community. He has represented our student body as a GSB senator; he has served our neighborhood with the Red Cross; he has valued our community by living in the 3rd Ward for nearly eight years.

Let’s help Doll continue to work for our interests by voting for him Dec. 6.
