Fans evacuate stadium

Dangerous weather threatened Ames on Saturday evening, forcing the Iowa State-Colorado football game to be delayed and fans to evacuate Jack Trice Stadium.
Fans were evacuated and taken into either Hilton Coliseum, the Jacobson Athletic Building or the Bergstrom Indoor Training Facility. Kickoff was delayed approximately 45 minutes.
Fans inside Hilton were treated to an impromptu concert from the marching band, who had also taken shelter there.
“It was actually pretty fun,” said Ryan Kent, a sophomore in computer engineering and member of the marching band. “In the middle of a real cyclone we could come together and still have a good time.”
