Pack the Jack

The ISU athletic department announced on Tuesday its “Pack the Jack” campaign, an effort to help sell out Jack Trice Stadium for the Cyclones’ final two home games of the year.

“If not now, I don’t know when,” said Athletics Director Jaime Pollard. “We need the stadium as full as possible on Saturday, and as loud as possible.”

Promotions include a letterwinners reunion Saturday against Kansas State and fan appreciation day for the Nov. 12 game against Colorado, where all remaining reserved tickets will be reduced to $10.

“I hope the fans understand that this is still a pretty special group of kids,” said coach Dan McCarney. “They deserve great support, and hopefully they’re going to get it this Saturday.”

The Cyclones are 5-3 (2-3 Big 12) and are one win away from being bowl eligible for the fifth time in six years.

“Ultimately, it comes down to people if they want to decide to do it; the ball’s in the fans’ court,” Pollard said.

“The kids on our football team deserve the opportunity to get the fans’ support.”
