Brent Blum, sports columnist (52-20)
Iowa State – Can Will Blalock return punts?
Texas – Vince Young should star on “Real World: Austin.”
Texas Tech – K-State using its third quarterback of the year. That’s never good.
Oklahoma – I’m calling it right now, OU for Big 12 championship. Basketball.
Texas A&M – Bigger disappointment: A&M or Ashlee Simpson’s resurgence?
Nebraska – Waco hasn’t been this lively since Koresh. Or was it Dotson? I’m insensitive.
Iowa – 23-3. 23-3. 23-3. 23-3. 23-3. Sorry, keys got stuck.
Minnesota – Off topic: Vikings held sex parties on a boat? I thought they forgot how to score.
Ohio State – This should be fun.
Michigan – Do you really see JoePa winning a Big 10 title? Not me.
USC – Don’t overthink this one.
Florida – I don’t promote gambling, but if you play for fun, take Florida at +6.
Pat Brown, assistant sports editor (51-21)
Iowa State – Cyclones start late-season push.
Texas – Colorado is good, but not that good.
Texas Tech – Raiders keep rollin’.
Oklahoma – “Sooner” or later, OU will win big.
Texas A&M – Duh.
Nebraska – I wish they could both lose.
Iowa – Not a close one.
Wisconsin – Wisconsin bounces back.
Ohio State – Spartans fall again.
Michigan – Schizophrenic Michigan pulls it out.
USC – I can’t pick them to lose twice.
LSU – LSU looking good early.
Grant Wall, sports editor (51-21)
Missouri – Cyclones must right a ship that is beginning to sink.
Texas – Vince Young = good. Colorado = not so much.
Texas Tech – Because they’re playing Kansas State.
Oklahoma – I remember when the Sooners were good.
Texas A&M – Battle of the South’s underachievers.
Baylor – Teddy Bears move closer to a bowl.
Iowa – Losing Hinkel hurts, though I’m not sad to see him go.
Wisconsin – Build the Twins a new stadium. Not the Gophers.
Ohio State – Home crowd helps slow Michigan State offense.
Michigan – It’s already been said, but Penn State isn’t going to run the table.
USC – Leinart + Bush + Carroll = wins, wins, wins.
Florida – Gators win shootout.
Brett McIntyre, senior sports reporter (50-22)
Missouri – The road is not the place for the Cyclones to work out recent difficulties.
Texas – Colorado might hang for a while but it won’t keep up with Vince Young.
Texas Tech – Kansas State couldn’t manage 200 yards against Kansas, therefore I won’t ever
pick them.
Oklahoma – Another ugly win for the Sooners, but don’t be surprised if Kansas pulls an upset.
Texas A&M – Oklahoma State is awful, and the Aggies are disappointing. Who really cares?
Baylor – Huskers first road game of the year will be one to forget.
Iowa – Latest word out of Iowa City: Alford to Indiana … to coach football.
Wisconsin – Two teams with good running games and no defense. Flip a coin.
Ohio State – If this game were on the road, the pick is the Spartans but the Buckeyes are a different team at home.
Michigan – I hate the Wolverines, but you don’t expect PSU to go 11-0, do you?
USC – Only two possible outcomes here: Irish pull the upset, or Trojans by 30.
LSU – Both teams here have struggled lately; LSU is home so they get the nod.
