The ISU volleyball team hit a season high .366 en route to a 3-0 win over North Dakota State on Saturday. The Cyclones won 30-25, 30-20 and 30-16.

“It was nice to get everyone in the match,” said coach Christy Johnson. “I thought we were very efficient in that we didn’t waste many scoring opportunities.”

In the first game, Iowa State (10-6) jumped out to a 7-3 lead on a kill by Erin Boeve, but NDSU (1-18) battled back to come within one at 9-8. The Cyclones controlled much of the rest of the game, hitting .297, on their way to a 30-25 win.

In the second game, the Cyclones took control early, grabbing a 10-5 lead after an ace by Amanda Craig. After seeing North Dakota State close the gap to 12-10 on a pair of aces by Kari Fagnan, the Cyclones stormed back, outscoring the Bison 18-10 and picking up a 30-20 game two win.

Iowa State held the Bison to a .081 hitting percentage while improving their match percentage by hitting .394 in the game.

The Bison took a 5-4 lead in game three before the Cyclones’ offensive attack picked up as Iowa State hit .419 in the third game. The Cyclones scored 20 of the final 30 points in winning the game 30-16 and claiming the match, 3-0.

Boeve, who ranks fifth in the nation in block assists, had four more in the match to go along with her team-high 11 kills to lead the Cyclones. Craig led the Cyclone offensive attack with 33 assists and Katie Churm had 15 digs in the match.

The Cyclones will be back in action Tuesday night when they host Texas Tech in a Big 12 match at 7 p.m.
