September 12, 2005
“No.The Big Ten is still 18-3. It lost to the No. 2 team in the nation and in two rivalry games that have proved to be toss-ups lately. It’s still one of the deepest conferences in the country.”
– Brett McIntyre, senior sports reporter
“Yes. Nottalent-wise, but with records. Michigan, Iowa and Ohio State will beat up on each other. Don’t be surprised if the conference winner has two Big Ten losses.”
– Grant Wall, sports editor
“No. I think the Big Ten will bounce back from the losses it suffered last weekend, especially considering Michigan and Ohio State both lost to ranked teams.”
– Pat Brown, asst. sports editor
“No. The Big Ten is still the second-deepest conference in the country; only the ACC is better. Look out for Michigan State.”
– Brent Blum, sports columnist
