The Iowa State women’s track and field team was back in action Saturday for only two events at the Stanford Invitational.

The first race of the day for the Cyclones was the 4×100 relay. They finished in the middle of the pack with seventh place out of twelve total relays. The official time ran was a 46.84; a little more than a second behind first place University of California.

Freshman Kaylyn Hall and Sydney Malini teamed up with seniors Erinn Stenman-Fahey and Emma Whigham to compete in the 4×400 relay. They ran in a time of 3:47.54, earning the tenth fastest time out of 16 teams in the event. This was the second and last event the Cyclones competed in Saturday.

The Iowa State women’s track and field will be competing again next weekend, April 5-6 in Tempe, Arizona, for the Sun Angel Classic.
