Infection not affecting Blythe

- Isu Media Relations

ISU wide receiver Todd Blythe has a skin infection on his left knee, the ISU athletic department announced in a press release Wednesday.

Even with the infection, the sophomore is expected to practice this week, according to the release.

It was reported on WHO-TV Tuesday night that Blythe had suffered a staff infection, a report that is not true, according to the ISU athletic department.

Blythe led the Cyclones with nine touchdown receptions and 833 receiving yards last season.

His nine tocuhdowns set a school record and is just six shy of the all-time record.

ISU football coach Dan McCarney and his staff have declined further comment about Blythe.
