LETTER: Groh and Deal will update Web site
February 15, 2005
Good communication between the Government of the Student Body and the student body is vital to the Government of the Student Body’s success, and two of this year’s candidates, Angela Groh and Chris Deal, have the right idea.
Both Groh and Deal know it’s important that students are heard and that GSB is easy to reach. To ensure that good communication occurs, Groh and Deal have developed several plans.
First, Groh and Deal will update and improve the GSB Web site in order to more effectively reach the student body. The new Web site will include current information, resources for students and useful links regarding ways to get involved, academics, professor information and campus housing guides.
Also, to more effectively communicate with the student body, Groh and Deal will develop e-mail lists for GSB senators to easily contact their constituents. This will more closely connect each student with his or her elected senator allowing students to easily contact and become more familiar with who represents them.
In addition, Groh and Deal are determined to inform all students of the opportunities they have to become involved with university committees like the tuition and Veishea task forces.
Great strides have been made during the past year, and they want to ensure that students know and can actively participate in making important campuswide decisions.
Groh and Deal are approachable people who will listen. They have great plans and are determined to ensure that good communication between GSB and the student body happens.
On March 7 and 8, vote for Angela Groh and Chris Deal for GSB president and vice president.
