LETTER: Alliger’s connections will help students
February 15, 2005
It really is all about who you know and how well you know them. One’s network can be a valuable asset to his or her success.
Based upon my firsthand accounts, I can testify that Government of Student Body presidential candidate Henry Alliger has developed many close and personal relationships with top ISU administrators during his past three years of serving the Government of the Student Body.
Included among the many top officials Speaker of the Senate Alliger has worked with are Thomas Hill, vice president for student affairs, and Pete Englin, dean of students.
In addition to administrators, Alliger has worked with an array of faculty, local business managers and student leaders.
All of his efforts as speaker of the senate have revolved around promoting the betterment of the student body and Iowa State as a whole.
For Alliger, it is not sufficient to merely have a plethora of contacts; rather, maintaining close working and personal relationships with his valuable network is of the utmost importance.
Alliger’s vast experience working with Iowa State’s most powerful and influential officials is just one of the many reasons that he is the best candidate for the GSB presidency.
Help simplify GSB by voting for Henry Alliger and Sarah Walter on March 7 and 8. Learn more about Alliger’s experience, platform and other useful information at www.simplifygsb.com.
