The Government of the Student Body election campaigning has begun and I am a concerned student. I want to make sure that all campaigns focus their discussion on the issues that matter the most to students.

In addition, we as a student body need to make sure that our president and vice president are individuals with experience — individuals who have worked closely with both the GSB senate in passing critical legislation and with administrators in advocating student views.

That is why I urge my fellow students to take a close look at the Speaker of the Senate Henry Alliger and his running mate, Director of Student Diversity Sarah Walter. They are candidates who not only have five years combined experience in GSB, but individuals who recognize the will of the students and who are committed to working toward it.

Alliger and Walter want to simplify GSB; they want to make sure that GSB is accessible, accountable and they want to make sure that GSB is held responsible. These are the ambitions that I desire in a president and vice president. Help simplify GSB by voting Alliger and Walter March 7 and 8.
