LETTER: Redistribute ‘idiot’ columnist’s things
February 21, 2005
Upon reading Jason Noble’s commentary (“Robbin’ the ‘hood like Robin Hood,” Feb. 18), I couldn’t help but wonder why there are such idiots in the world. I am confused why the Daily would print an article portraying stealing as revolutionary and, all in all, a fun time to be had by all.
First of all, stealing is wrong, and, one of these times, the wrong guy is going to see Mr. Noble stealing his peanut butter. Second of all, Mr. Noble wrote that he had a speed limit sign that was stolen from him. Just so he knows, possessing a stolen road sign, if caught, carries a one- to five-year prison sentence, and if someone is hurt as a result of the sign missing, carries a five- to ten-year sentence. Now you want us all to praise you for fighting “capital injustice.”
I think not.
I call on the ISU community to, for just this one time, follow Mr. Noble’s heroic ways by paying him a visit and personally thanking him for changing your views on life. Don’t forget to bring an empty backpack.
