The information in the log comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Jan. 6
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Michael Lange and Yili Hong were involved in a property damage collision.
Jan. 7
- A staff member reported the theft of a pocket computer at Veterinary Medicine.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Christopher Steffen in Lot 59A.
- A staff member reported the theft of cash in Beyer Hall.
- A resident reported the theft of cash in Frederiksen Court —the incident occurred on Dec. 18.
Jan. 8
- Officers assisted a resident suffering from a possible alcohol overdose in Friley Hall.
- Bryan Shelangoski, of Cedar Rapids, reported damage to a vehicle window in Lot 91.
- A staff member reported the theft of a television from a lounge in Larch Hall.
- Officers assisted a resident suffering from an alcohol overdose in Willow Hall.
Jan. 9
- Peter Stoltenow, 23, of West Des Moines, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Pammel Drive and Stange Road.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Matthew Gotto and Alison Herr were involved in a property damage collision at Pammel Drive and Stange Road.
- Anthony Lind, 18, of 2241 Welch Hall, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in Welch Hall.
- Officers assisted a resident who was experiencing emotional problems in Frederiksen Court.
Jan. 10
- A student reported being harassed by an acquaintance in Lot 50B.
- A patron reported the theft of a wallet in the Memorial Union. The wallet, absent the cash that was inside it, was later found outside the building.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Kristen Schoof and Patrick McFarland were involved in a property damage collision at Hyland Avenue and Pammel Drive. McFarland was subsequently cited for having no driver license, having no insurance, and a stop sign violation.
- A resident reported receiving harassing telephone calls in Larch Hall.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Katie Lasher and Daniel Naegele were involved in a property damage collision in Lot 61.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Travis Nagel, Jamie Hentges and Matthew Halley were involved in a property damage collision at Elwood Drive and Mortensen Road.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Mark Burke in Lot 100.
