ISU backup quarterback Austin Flynn was cited on two misdemeanor charges at the Prairie Meadows casino in Altoona.
Flynn, 20, was charged with interference with official acts and harassment of a public officer at Prairie Meadows around 4 a.m. last Friday.
Neil Shultz of the Polk County sheriff’s office said that when officers asked Flynn for identification, he showed them a fake out-of-state driver’s license.
ISU officials said Flynn would travel with the team to Shreveport for next Tuesday’s Independence Bowl. Coach Dan McCarney treated the incident as a violation of team rules and has disciplined Flynn, spokesman Tom Kroeschell said.
