The information in the blotter comes from ISU Police Department records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Nov. 4
- Timothy Stanley, 22, 219 Crystal St., was taken into custody on a warrant held by the Ames Police Department at Union Drive and Lincoln Way.
- Brenda Medina, 22, 110 McDonald Drive, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Chamberlain Street and Hayward Avenue.
- A staff member reported damage to several electrical switches at Gilman Hall.
- A mower struck a parked vehicle, causing minor damage at Lot 59A.
- A resident reported that someone opened a cellular telephone account without authorization in Wallace Hall.
- A resident reported graffiti on a door in Friley Hall.
- A resident reported the theft of fabric from a washing machine at the University Village Laundry.
- Jeffrey Lambert, 29, 3901 Ontario St., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication at Hilton Coliseum. Lambert was also taken into custody on warrants held by the Story County Sheriff’s office and the Marshalltown Police Department.
Nov. 5
- Joshua Pierson, 23, 4510 Steinbeck St., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on South Dakota Avenue and Lincoln Way.
- A staff member reported that the side mirrors on a university-owned pickup had been broken while the vehicle was parked at the food dock at Linden Hall.
- Officers assisted animal control officials with capturing a deer that had become trapped in the courtyard area in Gilman Hall.
- A resident reported that when she returned to her residence she observed an unknown male exiting her room at Eaton Hall.
- A student reported that his wallet was stolen from his pants which were left unattended outside a racquetball court at Lied Recreation Center.
- Officers initiated a drug-related investigation at the Armory Building.
- Vehicles owned by Tim Hassel, 4421 Friley Hall, and Richard Jensen, Shelby, were broken into and stereo equipment was taken. The incident occurred sometime between Nov. 3 and Nov. 5 in Lot 61.
- A student reported being harassed at the Molecular Biology Building.
- A female reported the theft of a purse at Beyer Hall. The incident occurred between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
