The information in the blotter comes from ISU Police records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty.
September 28
- A staff member in Beardshear Hall reported receiving a harassing e-mail message.
- A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Marianne Smith near Pammel Drive and Stange Road.
- Officers initiated a drug-related investigation.
September 30
- A custodian reported seeing a suspicious bottle on an apartment lawn in Frederiksen Court. A plastic bottle under pressure was subsequently rendered safe and seized as evidence.
- A student reported losing a bag containing cash and other items at the Hub.
- A resident at Barton Hall reported having a disagreement with a roommate.
October 1
- Philip Knutzen, 18, 3240 Welch Hall, was arrested and charged with public intoxication on the 200 block of Welch Avenue.
- A staff member reported the theft of a map and a centrifuge from Veterinary Medicine.
- A student reported the theft of a calculator from Gilman Hall.
- A resident reported the theft of a bike wheel from Martin Hall.
- An abandoned bike found at Storms Hall was placed into secure storage until the owner can be identified.
- Alex Sappingfield, 5357 Larch Hall, reported damage to a vehicle window in Lot S5.
- Brandon Chick, 19, 2715 Kellogg Ave., was charged with underage possession of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia at 13th Street and Haber Road. He was also referred to DOT officials for a .02 civil violation.
October 2
- Steven Prosise, 21, 2816 Wood St., was arrested and charged with public intoxication on the 100 block of Hayward Avenue.
- Jacob Thompson, 19, Wildwood, Ill., was cited for underage possession of alcohol on Lincoln Way and Lynn Avenue.
- Jacob Muller, 24, Defiance, was arrested and charged with OWI on Mortensen Road and Coconino Road.
- The following were cited for underage possession of alcohol at the 300 block of Hayward Avenue: Christopher Kooima, 19, Rock Valley; Andrew Horn, 20, 4231 Frederiksen Court; and Anna Taylor, 18, Polk City.
- Casey Schafbuch, 21, 905 Dickinson Ave., was arrested and charged with public intoxication at Arbor Street and State Avenue.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by James Larue and Heidi Carpenter were involved in a property damage collision in Lot 63.
- A student reported the theft of a billfold from Carver Hall.
