Iowa State defeats Iowa on road for first time since 2010

The Cyclones faced off against Iowa Friday and defeated the Hawkeyes 196.275-196.250. The Cyclones had consistent contributions from all areas. Iowa State is now 9-6 on the season.

Uneven Bars:

Ana Palacios made her official debut on the bar event and tallied a 9.825, which helped push the Cyclones to a win in the event.

Sydney Converse scored a 9.825 on the vault event. Converse has now gone 9.850, 9.825 and 9.825 in her last three meets. Kelly Martin earned a score of 9.850. Martin has scored back-to-back 9.850s in the last two meets.

Senior Meaghan Sievers also had an impressive performance, putting up a 9.900 for the second-straight week.

The Cyclones will have a busy week in the second week of March. First, the Cyclones will host fellow Big 12 opponent Oklahoma at 6:30 p.m. on Mar. 11. Later in the week, the Cyclones will battle Denver at 6:30 p.m. on Mar. 15.
