Normally, I just like to sit back when the religious wars start up in the Daily opinion page and have a quiet laugh, but today I’m feeling a bit whimsical.

First up, I’ll mention one of everybody’s favorite subjects: homosexuality.

I’m not looking to get into a debate over whether homosexuality is right or wrong, I want to look at it from a more pragmatic viewpoint.

Many people believe that homosexuality is wrong. — that’s fine, they can believe what they want. However, didn’t Jesus once say “Hate the sin, love the sinner?”

Ignoring all issues of hypocrisy that arise, I don’t understand the problem with the issue of same-sex marriage.

Is the world really going to end just because we allow two men or two women to marry?
