The information in the blotter comes from ISU Police Department arrest records. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

September 21

  • A citizen reported finding a laptop computer and 35mm cameras along Wyngate Drive belonging to the Ames Laboratory.
  • Brandon Dahlstrom reported the theft of his bicycle from Lot S8. The theft occurred between Sept. 17 and Sept. 19.
  • Mark Scheibe reported the theft of a wheel cover from his vehicle at Hilton Coliseum.
  • Edwin Powell reported the theft of a pair of sunglasses and a cellular phone from his vehicle in Lot 36.
  • Vehicles owned and/or driven by Brian Rockwell of Sioux City and Adam Bries, 2922 West St., were involved in a property damage collision at the Iowa State Center.
  • Vehicles owned and/or driven by Michael Benjamin of Princeton and Qinag Chen, 2611 Luther Dr., were involved in a property damage collision.

September 22

  • During a routine traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant. Paul Brockman, 1103 Delaware Ave., was taken into custody and transported to the Story County jail.

September 23

  • Officers received a report that individuals were taking apart bikes and throwing parts. The following were subsequently charged with criminal mischief: Andrew Rabe, 18, 2280 Friley Hall; Scott Bisping, 18, 2662 Helser Hall; Scott Duncombe, 22, 2623 Helser Hall, and Faraz Chaundry, 18, 2662 Helser Hall.
  • A staff member at the University Book Store reported the possible theft of a camera.
  • Officers initiated a drug-related investigation.
  • A staff member reported being verbally harassed at the Union Drive Community Center.
