The information in the log comes from the ISU Police records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
August 18
- A drug task force officer at the Armory assisted another agency with an investigation.
August 19
- Joseph Fisher, 18, 113 Freeman Hall, was cited for underage possession of alcohol in Maple Hall.
- James Heldt, 18, Johnston, was cited for underage possession of alcohol in Maple Hall.
- John Fenech, 24, Baxter, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and interference with official acts at Lincoln Way and Lynn Avenue.
- Officers observed three juveniles causing minor criminal mischief at Crawford Elementary School. They were subsequently released to their respective parents. Information was forwarded to the Ames Police Department.
- Officers initiated a forensic computer examination at the Armory for another agency.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by William Furst and Rolando Chacon were involved in a personal injury collision at Bissell Road and Osborn Drive.
August 20
- Nicholas Okland, 21, Kelley, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Welch Road.
- Monica Lamb, 20, Excelsior, Minn., was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Gable Lane and Gray Avenue.
- A staff member reported damage to a large window Knapp-Storms Commons.
- Vehicles owned and/or driven by Flora Freeland and Joel Swanson were involved in a property damage collision on 530th Street.
- Tim Buch, 2231 Friley Hall, reported the theft of a bike at Friley Hall.
- Rustain Morgan, 1206 Roberts Hall, reported the theft of a computer from a storage area in Birch Hall.
- Joshua Ewing, 20, Polk City, was cited for underage possession of alcohol on the 200 block of Stanton Avenue. He was also charged with harassment of a public official after giving two false names.
- Matthew Petersen, 18, 7345 Larch Hall, was arrested and charged with public intoxication in the Memorial Union Ramp.
August 21
- Derek Larson, 20, 905 Kellogg Ave., was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Chamberlain Street and Stanton Avenue.
- Joseph Fruchtenicht, 18, Cedar Falls, was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Knapp Street and Welch Avenue.
- David Thompson Jr., 20, 3506 Coy St., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated and unlawful use of a driver license at Mortensen Road and Pinon Drive.
