This fall’s fashions are all about being proper.

Celebrities and designers have made a move to make fashion elegant instead of trashy. So throw out your low-cut, midriff bearing shirts and the jeans that show everyone what color underwear you’re wearing.

Start idolizing the sleek, feminine women of the ’40s and ’50s. Designers for fall have given elegant touches to the pieces that have been creeping in, but modern touches are maintained with vibrant colors and prints.

It’s time to grow up, but look great doing it.
