Construction alters circulator route
April 15, 2004
Due to construction on Union Drive, the CyRide orange circulator route will be altered beginning Monday.
Union Drive construction is scheduled to start Monday and the street should reopen Aug. 1, said Bob Bourne, CyRide director. A total of four stops will be closed.
Union Drive will be closed from the stop in front of the Memorial Union to the Gerdin Business Building.
Bourne said when buses leave Beardshear Hall, they will not go in front of the Memorial Union as they usually do. Instead, they will turn west on Union Drive, then go south on Morrill Road past Lake LaVerne to Lincoln Way. Buses will then turn east on Lincoln Way, he said.
There will be a bus stop at the intersection of Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue for students who live in residence halls before buses turn south on Beach Avenue, where they will continue on the regular route.
