LETTER: Copyworks shows ISU appreciation

I would like to say thank you to John Crawford, general manager of Copyworks. He showed in his full page ad on the back of Monday’s Daily that it was a minority of students who acted in the riot and that the majority feels like this is being blamed on them as well.

Part of the issue is also the close compaction of all the students upon Welch Avenue. This is one of the worst places to confine large crowds.

With the bars closing at 2 a.m. and people having to go home, police did not consider whether students leaving the bars were just going home or were coming out to join in the riot. Moving the majority of the festivities across Lincoln Way to Union Drive would solve a big part of the congestion problem.

There are definitely questions that need to be answered, but hopefully the question of whether to have Veishea next year will be a yes!
