LETTER: If we can’t fix the puddle problem …

Walking to class in the rain on Tuesday and dodging as best as the possible the huge puddles of water (i.e. the pond in front of Parks Library) that form on the sidewalks during any rain, it struck me as odd that a university of “Science and Technology” has never bothered to fix something as basic (and annoying) as this.
Then again, maybe it’s just one more example of what I’ve seen over my four years here of how the administration makes ambitious plans to improve Iowa State’s status as a university but is a lot slower on working on nuts and bolts issues that affect the daily lives of students.
