To great fanfare President Bush signed the “act for unborn victims.”

President Bush claims that “With this action, we widen the circle of compassion and inclusion in our society, and we reaffirm that the United States of America is building a culture of life.”

Well, let us widen that circle a little more and include the children who are already born. Let us make sure these children are economically supported by parents so they will have a real life from the beginning. In the United States, 20 million children are owed over $93.3 billion in unpaid child support. Non-support of children already is against the law (will the “Laci Peterson Law” be enforced on the same scale?)

Of course it is common knowledge that the Republican Party stands for caring about children before they are born — and then to hell with them after birth (Of course, the Democrats say to hell with them at any level!)
