I am sure there are many people in the Ames and ISU community who woke up Sunday morning very disappointed in the actions of a few ISU students. However, I think it is important that everyone know about another group of students who were representing the university in a way that we should all be proud of. Thank you, Friley staff!

I had the opportunity to see all the work that went on Saturday night and Sunday morning, and I think the community needs to know what a wonderful job the community advisers, academic resource coordinators and hall directors did.

They stayed up all night, not going to bed without making sure all their residents were safe and things had quieted down.

Thank you to everyone who showed responsibility, maturity and dedication to their jobs. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how many people felt safer and more secure because you were on duty. You are truly a benefit to the ISU community, and I hope everyone will recognize that. Thank you.
