• Zachary Schumacher, 20, 4321 Frederiksen Court, was charged with simple assault.

February 27

• Virginia Roper, 24, 2505 Aspen Rd., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at Hayward Avenue and Lincoln Way.
• An officer issued a citation to an underage person on the premises on 2400 Chamberlain.
• Anne Hetland, 207 Science I, reported the theft of a torch.
• Lisa Ferrari, Des Moines, reported damage to the rear window of her vehicle in Lot 11.
• A vehicle that left the scene struck a car owned by Joseph Buss at the Memorial Union Ramp.
• Officers initiated an investigation into a theft that occurred at the convenience store in Maple-Willow-Larch.
• Bryan Ross Keyt, 19, 4788 Helser Hall, was arrested and charged with third degree arson for using fire to damage a fourth floor ceiling.
• Vehicles owned and/or driven by Kari Christiansen and Chengyan Yue were involved in a property damage collision at 13th Street and Stange Road.
• Jeffrey Moore, 21, 616 Billy Sunday Rd., was arrested and charged with public intoxication at Hilton Coliseum.
• Luke Marriott, 21, 1300 Coconino Rd., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated in Lot C6.

February 28

• Nathaniel Fox, 19, 92 Linden Hall, and Zakary Sheeder, 19, 91 Linden Hall, were cited for underage possession of alcohol at Lincoln Way and Lynn Avenue.
• Matthew Nitchals, 20, Storm Lake, was cited for open container and underage possession of alcohol on Hayward Avenue.
• Jeremiah Norris, 26, Laramie, Wyo., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at South 16th Street and Veterinary Medicine Drive.
• Officers assisted a motorist who injured her arm while changing a tire in Lot 9.
• An individual reported electronic tampering with bank accounts and unauthorized cash withdrawals.
• Vehicles owned and/or driven by Greg Luecke and Jun Liu were involved in a property damage collision at Morrill Road and Osborn Drive.
• Brad Holcomb, 6114 Frederiksen Court, reported damage to his vehicle in Lot 112.
