LETTER: Yassin’s leadership similar to Hitler’s
March 30, 2004
After all these years, I am still amazed at those who try (in vain) to draw a moral equivalency between Israelis and terrorists. Matt Denner’s March 23 column “Sharon not the man to incite a peace process” regarding the killing of Yassin is yet another example of how a new generation has been afflicted with the cancer of “political correctness.”
Referring to Yassin as the “spiritual leader” of Hamas is like referring to Hitler as the “spritual leader” of the Nazi party.
Hamas is a terrorist organization that conducts a policy of blowing up men, women, children, infants and anyone else who is a Jew.
To achieve this goal, they use their own children to strap on a bomb, hop on a bus and then pull the trigger. That act gets pretty stale after a while.
Imagine Sharon having the temerity to eliminate the man responsible for the death of hundreds of Jews. I would suggest that Matt Denner figure what is going on in the Middle East before he writes such foolish columns.
Also, what is this nonsense about saying that Kofi Annan referred to the killing of Yassin as “immoral” and “illegal.”
Please, Annan and his band of third world thugs lost the right to use the word “immoral” a long time ago.
