The information in the log comes from ISU Police records provided to the Daily. All those accused of violating the law are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

January 13

  • Tiffany VanGundy, 28, 3212 Polaris Dr., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Sheldon Avenue and Lincoln Way.
  • Ryan Stone, 21, Mitchellville, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Beach Avenue and Lincoln Way.
  • A Schillettter Village resident reported that an unknown individual was taking shoes from the building. The suspect dropped the shoes and fled the area. The incident occurred on Jan. 12.
  • A student was physically assaulted by an acquaintance at the Memorial Union on Jan. 12.
  • A student living in Friley Hall reported being harassed via the computer.
  • Pavla Brachova, 3800 Phoenix St., lost control of her vehicle on 13th Street and Haber Road, resulting in minor injuries to a passenger. Peter Bracha was transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center for treatment.
  • Randall Scheiner, 2295 Friley Hall, was arrested at Friley and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A student reported being harassed by her ex-husband through a third party at the Armory Building.

January 14

  • Jacob Hodenfield, 21, Garden City, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Lincoln Way and Welch Avenue.
  • A staff member reported finding a suspicious substance in a lip balm container at the Memorial Union.
  • Daniel Matlick, 7436 Frederiksen Court, reported the theft of compact video discs.
  • A resident reported finding an unauthorized person in his Frederiksen Court apartment.

January 16

  • A bicyclist struck a parked vehicle in Lot 112, resulting in minor property damage.
  • Officers initiated an investigation into a report of forged signatures on an academic document at the Armory.
  • Vehicles owned and/or driven by Mindy Law, Ashley Lock and Sandra Gould were involved in a property damage collision that occurred on Stange Road
  • A Helser Hall resident reported that an acquaintance took her keys and would not given them back. An officer facilitated the return of the property.
  • Jamie Hirsch, 19, 1543 Helser Hall, was arrested and charged with public intoxication in Helser Hall.

January 17 of a large party in a the hallway of Helser Hall. David Parrish, 19, and Alex Gustafson, 18, both of 2582 Helser Hall, were cited for underage possession of alcohol.

  • Matthew Delger, 18, 112 Linden Hall, and Raven Smith, 19, 3302 Larch Hall, were arrested and charged with public intoxication. Delger was additionally charged with harassment of a public official.
  • Leah McGinn, 25, 4717 Mortensen Rd., was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Hayward Avenue and Knapp Street.
  • Maria Murray, 19, Marshalltown, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Lincoln way.
  • Mollie Holcomb, 18, Perry, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated on Lincoln Way.
  • Jeffrey Behan, 19, Sabula, was cited for underage possession of alcohol on Chamberlain Street and Welch Avenue.
  • A Frederiksen Court resident reported losing a driver’s license, credit cards, and cash.
